Resolve Marine was contracted by Alabama Shipyard in Mobile, AL to assist with the refloat of the Hercules 204, a jack up drilling platform that sank in the shipyard during decommissioning operations. Resolve Marine utilized seven 6” Grindex pumps in a pressure-compensated pumping arrangement to successfully dewater the lower ‘mud mat’ tank spaces and refloat the 3,500-ton vessel. Divers worked through several challenges to complete the project, including locating and patching damages with near zero visibility, as well as tracing out and blanking the tank pipework.
