Jack-up Drill Rig Response

Resolve Marine was contracted to assist with the refloat of a jack-up drilling platform that sank at a local Mobile area shipyard during decommissioning operations. Resolve Marine utilized seven 6” Grindex pumps in a pressure-compensated pumping arrangement to successfully dewater the lower ‘mud mat’ tank spaces and refloat the 3,500-ton vessel. Divers worked through several challenges to complete the project, including locating and patching damages with near zero visibility, as well as tracing out and blanking the tank pipework.
