Resolve Marine was called to assist a loaded general cargo vessel that grounded on a sandy bank in the Bahamas. Tug RESOLVE COMMANDER was mobilized together with a salvage master and salvage officer from Freeport, Bahamas to assist. Initial attempts to free the vessel were unsuccessful and two additional tugs were engaged. Initially it appeared that it would be necessary to remove the cargo to refloat the vessel, however, after extensive propeller washing work in conjunction with the efforts of the tugs, the vessel was safely refloated nine days after the grounding.
