In July 2019, Resolve Marine was contracted to refloat a 982’ long x 228’ wide 25,000-ton drydock that had suffered irreversible structural failure and flooding during the docking of a large cruise ship. Resolve’s engineering teams formulated a plan to safely refloat the drydock in two sections. Over the next two months, the drydock was successfully cut into two sections using guillotine. Having worked through the challenges and enacting a workable plan, Resolve was able to efficiently refloat the aft and forward sections using dewatering and air blowdown operations and preparing them for transport and removal. On-Site Floating Assets: Resolve’s RMG 400, RMG 302; RESOLVE COMMANDER (Conquest MB1 also used)
