Resolve Marine India Stands Out in the Domestic Market

Accolades by the Indian Government Recognize Successful Local and International Efforts
Resolve Marine India Stands Out in the Domestic Market

Resolve Marine, a global leader in innovative marine solutions, provided an update today on the company’s Mumbai, India operations. Led by Nishant Choudhary, Country Manager, India, and celebrating its 12th year since being established, Mumbai is strategically located for rapid response across the Indian Ocean, including the Arabian Sea and Persian Gulf. The location features a warehouse equipped to international standards, a registered corporate office, and expert teams ready to deliver high-quality marine emergency response and project solutions that meet both local and global regulatory requirements.

In the last few years, India has seen a notable shift in regulatory compliance. The Director General of Shipping (the central government agency with authority across the marine industry) modified regulatory expectations and formalized the empanelment of Salvage and Marine Firefighting (SMFF) service providers to create more stringent environmental standards, faster response timelines and increased accountability from shipowners and operators. As the only international SMFF provider with in-country capabilities and infrastructure, Resolve Marine India stands apart in the domestic market offering a distinct competitive edge through superior operational readiness, regulatory compliance, logistics and mobilization.

During a recent visit by CEO Joseph Farrell III to Mumbai, the Directorate General of Shipping presented a plaque formally thanking Resolve Marine for its support. The award acknowledged Resolve Marine’s efforts around the MV Dali refloat - the vessel was crewed predominantly by Indian nationals - after its high-profile allision with the Frances Scott Key Bridge and thanked Resolve Marine for its commitment to India's growing shipping industry by having the largest international salvage response capacity operating in the country.

Commenting on his visit, Farrell III said, “The dedication and ingenuity of our team in Mumbai is impressive. Readiness of our operations led to several complex and high-profile jobs in the past year that brought together local knowledge, equipment and partnerships, as well as in-country and regional expertise. India is rapidly emerging as a key player in the global shipping industry and Resolve Marine is proud to ride alongside them.”
