Training, Drills & Exercises

Built for Compliance. Designed for Reality. Executed with Purpose.

Preparedness is not static, and it is never one-size-fits-all. At Resolve Marine, drills and exercises are a core component of how we help vessel owners, operators, ports and public agencies prepare for high-consequence maritime incidents. From regulator-mandated exercises to highly customized, scenario-driven programs, we design and participate in exercises that reflect the realities our clients face at sea and ashore.

Our approach blends compliance, operational realism, and continuous improvement, ensuring that plans, people, and equipment perform when it matters most.

Regulatory-Driven Drills & Exercises

Resolve Marine conducts and supports exercises required under U.S. and international emergency preparedness frameworks, including the US Coast Guard’s National Preparedness for Response Exercise Program (NPREP). As a USCG-recognized OSRO and SMFF provider, we ensure clients meet regulatory requirements while gaining meaningful operational value from each exercise.

Core Compliance Exercises Include:

  • Remote Assessment & Consultation Exercises (RACE)
  • Salvage & Marine Firefighting Management Team Exercises
  • Equipment Deployment & Operational Exercises

Participation in NPREP-compliant exercises ensures integration with federal, state, and local response partners and alignment with Area Contingency Plans. Resolve offers clients numerous ways to participate in these vital training initiatives, accommodating those in varying time zones and maritime hubs around the world, in both virtual and in-person seminar formats.

Documentation, Certification & Client Access

Resolve Marine provides all required exercise documentation, certifications, and compliance records needed by regulators, ports, and oversight bodies. Client-specific records are securely maintained and accessible through ORCA, Resolve’s customer service portal.

Custom-Designed Exercises: Built Around Your Risk Profile

Compliance establishes a baseline. Customization builds capability.

Resolve Marine actively partners with clients to design, support, and participate in tailor-made exercises that reflect their specific operational, geographic, and regulatory risk environment. These exercises are developed collaboratively and scaled to meet both organizational maturity and stakeholder complexity.

Custom exercise design can focus on:

  • Vessel Types
  • Trading Areas & Operating Regions
  • Casualty Scenarios
  • Cargo Profiles
  • Emerging & Alternative Fuels
  • Stakeholder Coordination

Exercises may be conducted as virtual, hybrid, or fully in-person events and can range from executive-level decision simulations to tactically focused responder drills.

Our goal is not simply to test plans, but to expose assumptions, strengthen coordination, and improve real-world outcomes.

Resolve Academy: Training That Complements Readiness

Exercises test readiness. Training builds it. Through Resolve Academy, Resolve Marine delivers professional training programs that strengthen the capabilities of both responders and mariners, bridging the gap between planning, exercising, and execution.
